SUN TRAIL Pensacola Downtown Waterfront Connector

The Florida SUN TRAIL Pensacola Downtown Waterfront Connector is a key piece of infrastructure designed to create a safer, more enjoyable, and more connected waterfront for walking and cycling. The project is a shared priority of both the Urban Core and Westside CRA districts and is identified as a demonstration project in each district’s Community Redevelopment Plan.

As part of Florida’s SUN Trail Network, the project strengthens connections between neighborhoods and helps link residents to downtown, local businesses, parks, jobs, and recreational spaces across both CRA districts. By improving mobility and closing gaps in the trail system, the project supports CRA goals for walkability, connectivity, and equitable access, contributing to a more connected and welcoming community for residents and visitors alike.
